| It was a great honeymoon place. We had reserved the Honeymoon suite/room for 6 nights but upon our arrival there apparantly was some mix-up and the room was already taken. So we were given another room. It was nice and we enjoyed it immensly. I can't remember which 'house' it was in. Upon entering the property you would turn right in front of the main check-in area and head to the very last row/house. | Thank you Jennifer for sharing. We have couples tell us all the time they had their weddings or honeymoons at the Homestead. It is truly a neat experience when couples ask to see the rooms in the Virginia House because they stayed their 50 years early for their honeymoon. | A weekend is a wonderful time to spend at the Homestead. My husband and I spent our honeymoon there almost 12 years ago. We haven't been back for an overnight weekend stay, but we have been there for a day trip to scuba dive in the crater. What an excellent and most fun activity.
