HOMESTEAD AMATEUR GOLF TOURNAMENT JUNE 11.

MIDWAY, Utah (May 21, 2010) - The Homestead, Utah’s only resort with an on-property, 18-hole championship golf course is proud to announce the Homestead Amateur will be held Friday, June 11, 2010. The Homestead Amateur Golf tournament will be a Two-Man, Las Vegas Scramble with 8:00 am and 2:00 pm shot gun starts. The cost to participate is $65 per player with all money returned in prices less the cart fees. Please contact the Homestead Golf Club at 866-348-8993 to schedule tee times. Participants must have a current Utah Golf Association handicap in order to compete.

The Homestead’s 18-hole championship golf course, designed by Bruce Summerhayes, has been recognized by the Best of State award organization as the best golf course repeatedly as well as the best golf shop in Utah for a total of four years. The Homestead’s 7,000-yard, par-72 course has incorporated a state-of-the-art GPS system for golfers. This high-tech system calculates exact yardages, allows golfers to keep track of their scores electronically, communicates real-time to the leader board for tournaments and includes a food and beverage ordering capability and a help button for staff assistance.

The Homestead 18-hole championship golf course, which winds through the surrounding Snake Creek Valley and Wasatch Mountains, continues to offer tremendous value with special offers and competitive rates.
